Mother’s Day Chateau Chantal Supper Club Dinner

This dinner will transport you back to the American Camelot of the 1960s with Jack Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, Roger Maris, Andy Warhol, and Ray Lichtenstien. This was the era of big steaks, seafood, “craft” cocktails (before they were called that), and “exotic, new” desserts. Step back in time to the Supper Club Dinner, paired with the wines and spirits of Chateau Chantal.

Champagne Cocktail
Sparkling wine, housemade bitters, Cinq a Sept brandy, and a sugar cube
FIRST COURSE: Relish Tray
Red wine cheese spread, chicken liver pate’, cornichons, pickled baby carrots, cabbage, baked breadsticks, and crackers

SECOND COURSE: Chilled Shrimp Louie
Poached white shrimp atop Lakeview Hills Farm organic mixed greens, tossed with our tarragon vinaigrette
Semi Dry Riesling
THIRD COURSE: Baked Onion Soup Gratinee’
Caramelized onions, veal stock, Pinot Noir, and aromatic herbs with baked cheese and toasted crostini

Crisp romaine lettuce, lemon, garlic, cracked black pepper, local eggs, and white anchovies, prepared tableside

SIXTH COURSE: Surf and Turf
Herb-crusted Michigan Craft Beef filet mignon and broiled New England lobster tail with twice-baked potato and fresh broccolini

DESSERT COURSE: Grasshopper Pie
Silky, creamy, frozen mousse pie with homemade crème de menthe, dark chocolate, and chocolate wafer cookie crust with fresh Chantilly cream
